Librarian of Mariners-Naga passes board examination

Naga City – The Librarian of Mariners Polytechnic Colleges (MPC) this city passed the recent Board for Librarians Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

This was confirmed by Human Resource Department head Ms. Maria Hazel O. Palacio who said that the administration of MPC-Naga is happy and has sent a congratulatory message to Ms. Aileen Velasco-Domanico who made it after having attained an impressive grade in the test.

When asked on the message she wants to impart to the Mariners community, Dominaco said, “I dedicate my passing the board examination to the school. I also want to showcase the value of the Library to the students which should be patronized by them as this is one of the major tools they can use to further enhance their search for knowledge”.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) thru President Esperanza Francisco has endorsed to the studentry the maximum utilization of the library.

“I encourage my fellow students to read. The library is the best place to do this as there is a choice on what to read, aside from the reference materials on whatever subjects they are taking this 2nd semester”, added Ms. Francisco.

Meanwhile, the administration of Mariners-Naga has congratulated the board passer in this achievement she has attained recently. “Miss Domanico’s hurdling the Board for Librarians Licensure Examination brings honor to the school. We are proud of her as she sets the template for excellence for students to emanate. We are also assured that our library is managed by a qualified personnel who can deliver the expectation of the institution when it comes to the standard of services rendered to the school”, declared Dr. Marilissa J. Ampuan, President of Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges in Naga City. ###

Naga City – The first day of classes on November 18, 2013 at Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPC) this city for the 2nd semester of academic year 2013-2014 was made meaningful with the full attendance of the faculty members and students in the assembly held at the school campus.

After the Monday morning flag ceremony, Dr. Gabriel L. Jimenez - Executive Vice President of MPC Naga welcomed the old and new students of the school as he exhorted them on the value of excellence in their pursuit for knowledge after they have enrolled for the second semester. The school official touched on the care of the facilities placed at the disposal of the enrollees so that their use may be maximized.

The morning assembly was also made an opportunity to introduce and welcome Dr. Luz Martinez who is making her debut this second semester as the new Dean of Academics.

In her message to the academic community, she said that the administration, the faculty and the students can expect the best when it comes to the task entrusted to her. She expects the cooperation of everyone so the goals set by the institution may be attained thru teamwork. She expressed optimism in the outcome of the effort of the team, with the academic leadership which she is starting for Mariners.

17 Examinees from Mariners' schools pass the recent Customs Brokers Licensure Examination

Metro Manila - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the names of successful examinees who took the recent Customs Brokers Licensure examination given in Manila, Cebu and Davao by the Board for Customs Brokers in the month of October 2013.

The successful examinees include graduates from the Mariners schools in Legazpi City, Camarines Sur and Naga City.

Below are the names of those who hurdled the test from the schools under the Mariners System:

As per report from PRC, included in the Customs Brokers Board of Examiners are Atty. Ferdinand A. Nague as Chairman and Felipe A. Bartolome & Silverio F. Montalbo as members. The results were released two days after the last day of examination.

Meanwhile, the administration has sent a congratulatory message to the board passers

“This passing record made by the alumni of the Mariners schools is another feat achieved not only by the graduates but by the Administration and the proud parents of the passers who will now start to harvest the fruits of their labor. For and in behalf of the Board of Trustees, I congratulate all of them who made it”, declared Commodore Dante La. Jimenez, Chairperson of MPC Naga.
